I'm 27 years old and currently live in upstate New York. I've been married to my wonderful guy for almost 5 years. He joined the navy just before our first anniversary. We struggled with infertility and after almost 2 years we finally conceived a perfect baby boy in October of 2010. When Noah was 9 months, we found out that I was pregnant. Connor was born in April of this year.
For the past year, I've been living in New York with my Mom since my husband has been out to sea. He's yet to meet our son Connor. This past week, my son Noah was diagnosed somewhere in the middle of the Autism spectrum. I decided to write a blog about our crazy life and some of the challenges we've been facing.
In the next few weeks, we'll finally be reunited with Dada and he'll finally get to meet our new son! We also will be making the move to Virginia and dealing with the autism diagnosis. I already know it's going to be quite the challenge and unfortunately moving to Virginia is going to make treatment a little more difficult for us. I now realize that I'd much rather pay more in taxes in New York state after receiving their therapy for our toddler. Virginia seems to have rather long waiting lists for therapy and I'm pretty nervous about not getting the help he needs. I love my little man so very much and will do whatever it takes to help him overcome his obstacles. Thanks for taking the journey with us!
